The Seed Principle – Part 4

When the mother to Moses released him as a baby, it was like sowing a seed that should die. When you are doing church planting giving financially to other ministries allows for that separation or death of your seed offering so that financial fruit can be released. Actually, God has ordained that ninety percent of our offerings should be used for the running costs of the ministry and the ten percent is what he calls the heave offering and that is special only for God. The heave offering is that special connection to God’s providence. It has a lot to do with the heart and it relates to what you own.

What you own belongs to God and when it is in your hands you have to use it to acknowledge him. It is easy to know how much you really love God by the way you apportion what God has given to you. Remember Abraham, he loved God more than anything that is why he was willing to offer Isaac his only son. A church planter must use this principle if he has to see fruit. He does not have to hang on to the new church as if it can never go on under the pastoral care of another person.

The new church must be completely surrendered like that seed that relinquishes its self when buried underground just to end up arising with new life. The church is the Lord’s church and not your own. When God is in charge of it then the dynamics will be provisioned by God himself. No man is really in control of anything. All we can all do is to pray because God is really the one in control.

Jesus himself ascended to the Father after he died and rose again. He says that when he is lifted up then he would draw people to himself. In John 12:32 the Bible says “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me” (KJV). He is not alone right now because he arose from the dead. God has exalted Jesus because he humbled himself and obeyed God. He is now sitting at the right hand of God the Father and he is now speaking to him on our behalf because he is our High Priest. He became Sin so that we can be the righteousness of God.  Sin separated him from God and that separation is real death. The seed must die otherwise it ends up alone.

In Philippians 2:9 the Bible says, Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name” (KJV). It all starts with the willingness to humble oneself. Humility is key and that is what made Jesus take his place at the right hand of God the Father. The seed principle will work as long as you have seed that dies so that the desired blessings can manifest. The seed can either be plant seed, financial or life seed because the same principle will work. There must be a constant change until the return of Christ. What we do on earth is temporary, but it is an investment in eternal things that are permanent. Our bodies are tabernacles meant to be used on earth for just a period of time. Our true home is in heaven.
