The Sense of Justice – Part 5

However, see how that incident unfolded. In 2 Samuel 13: 11-12 the Bible says, ”And when she had brought them unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister. And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly” (KJV). Verse fourteen of the same chapter says, ”Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her (KJV). The man could not listen to himself talking. He said, “Come lie with me, my sister”. Just the word “sister” should have been noted as being out of place too. This sentence could have made him come back to his senses, but he did not because the prophetic word had to come to pass.

Now, after the fact, Tamar knew that she was violated by Amnon that is why she wanted justice. She was not intimidated and she was not fearful to talk about it. This is why and how her brother Absalom ended up knowing about it and from that moment he began to plot against Amnon. Just after two years, Amnon was killed by Absalom his brother because he wanted justice for his sister Tamar. A sword had entered this family according to the prophetic word.

Almost every family in the world has been affected by this kind of demonic activity. People may not talk about it, but it is part of our reality. Only Jesus Christ can resolve the issues of this magnitude. Jesus is the answer. However, do not be a bystander when this kind of a crime happens. Do not quickly blame the victim because that would imply that you are accepting this crime as being a normal thing when it is actually not something normal. Be smart fight hard and do not let another person become a victim when you can help.

Your neighbor dwells securely by you therefore watch out for your neighbor. Be a real supper hero and help someone when presented with the opportunity. In Proverbs 3:29 the Bible says, “Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee” (KJV). Use everything you have to help someone else because what seeks to destroy your neighbor is the same thing that would try to destroy you. You are your neighbor’s security.
