God’s Restoration – Part 1

When I was in the seventh grade I had a bicycle that I rode to school every day. I always parked my bicycle near to our classroom at least where I could see it. I always locked it, but one of those days i forgot to lock it. Well, when class was over that day, I walked out from our classroom expecting to get on my bicycle to ride back home, but to my surprise the bicycle was missing.

I did a little investigation and traced it to a certain home in the neighborhood near the school. I went over to that home and attempted to collect my bicycle. When I saw my bicycle again I got excited and just wanted to get it back. When I was about to pick it up from where it was lying, some elderly man walked over and told me that I cannot get it back. He told me to go and call my father if I needed to get it back.

I went home and told my father about it and together we walked over to that house to get my bicycle back. When we got to that house we found a group of men including the man who told me to call my father seated near my bicycle ready to challenge my father. While I waited to see what would happen my father told me to take my bicycle back. I walked over, picked it up without anyone saying a single word and walked away without any problem. That day, I finally got my bicycle back without anyone challenging me any more.

Now, if you are saved it means God is your Father. In John 1:11-12 in reference to Jesus the Bible says, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (KJV). When you receive Jesus Christ into your heart, you become a child of God. God becomes your father and as a father to you, he becomes a supplier of anything you need. God cares for his children in many ways and as his child; God will restore whatever you have lost.
