Dina the daughter to Jacob had something of value as a young lady until she met Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite. Something of value was taken away from her when she was sexually violated by Shechem. God gave her something of value, but someone else took it away. In John 10:10 the Bible says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” (KJV). Something was taken away from Dina Jacob’s daughter or King David’s daughter Tamar and something of valued could also have been taken away from you. In all this remember that God is a God of restoration. He will restore whatever is lost.
God makes all things new. Physically things may appear the same, but they will be very much renewed starting from the inside. In Joel 2:25 the Bible says, “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you” (KJV). God is a God of restoration. He makes all things new for those who turn to him. He can restore any sinner who turns to him and nothing is hard with God.
The Bible in 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, ”Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (KJV). When the Bible says that all things have become new it means it is a new beginning. God’s restoration changes things that are impossible to change.
In Psalm 23: 3 and 5 the Bible says that God will restore your soul and will leads you in his path of righteousness. It also says that he will continue to prepare his table before you in the presence of your enemies and anoint your head with oil and on top of that continue to fill your cup whenever it runs low. God cares about everything in your life. He loves you!
