Any life challenge is an opportunities to engaged with the miraculous when you are a child of God. That is how the twelve Apostles who walked with Jesus got engaged in practical ways of ministry. A ministry that does not solve any spiritual problems is as dead as religion. There is always a problem to work on and this is the basis for any valuable transaction on earth by individual persons or business entities. Problems in life really provide the opportunity for success especially when you are walking with the Lord.
Christian ministry should be vibrant and dynamic in its approach to resolving issues of life. This is the reason why Jesus engaged the disciples in real life encounters. Jesus knows what catches our attention and he will help us to get to the next manifestation of God’s miracle if we take heed. All we need to do is to obey him and he will do the rest of the work.
Jesus had a way of engaging the disciples in solving not just their problems, but those for other people and that is what he also wants us to do. In John 6:5-6 the Bible says, “When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do” (KJV). Philip could have wondered why it was now their responsibility to feed the multitude, but that thought may be, never even crossed his mind. He did not know much about that situation, but it turned out to be a real life opportunity for ministry. That day bread and fish was multiplied and multitudes were fed. It was a miracle that Philip and the other apostles never saw coming, but the problem at hand provided room for its manifestation.
At the wedding feast in Cana of Galilee he changed water in wine because there was a problem to solve. They ran out of wine and that was a big deal. It can still be an issue to today if the wedding reception suddenly ran out of drinks or food. However, with Jesus this was an opportunity to showcase his relevance in people’s lives. Jesus is the master problem solver and he wants us not to shy away from real life problems. He wants us to trust him so that we can effectively resolve problems in life.
Have you ever felt like running away from a problem in your life? You are not alone. Some problems appear so big therefore it is best if they are given to Jesus. He is the only one who is able to resolve anything no matter how frightening it appears. Give that problem to him in prayer and receive you miracle in the name of Jesus.
