What God Speaks

God speaks to people today and the most common way he does it is through his Word. The one and only thing people need to do is to be in tune with him. God is a Spirit and those who hear the voice of God need to have their spirit quickened by God’s Spirit. They have to be born again and that is the best position in which people can effectively make sense of what he says and really know for sure it is him speaking.

What God speaks is never contrary to what is written in Scripture. If you have an ear to hear what God is saying, you will notice that what he speaks always has good intentions. Even the prophecies that sound like doom are designed to warn people so that they can avoid the dangers ahead and then later enjoy his blessings. In Matthew 10:31 Jesus says, “Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows” (KJV). When he says “fear not”, he is actually giving us the spirit of faith to overcome our circumstances.

In the old days when Angels were sent on assignments, on some occasions they had to encourage the recipients of the message from God not to fear. Fear can lead to defeat. In Joshua 10:8 the Bible says, “And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee” (KJV). When God says “fear not” it means he wants you to face your circumstance with courage so that you can overcome.

What God speaks takes away fear and give us courage to deal with situations that are scary. God in his word is saying,”fear not” so that you can be strong and courageous to deal with your circumstances. His word encourages faith and that is what you need in order to overcome whatever you are going through.

Satan questions God’s word and communicates doubt. Any form of communication that seems to discredit God and cause fear is not from God. In whatever you are facing in life do you hear something that makes you think that God can not accept you because of what you have done in the past? In Roman 8:1 the Bible says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (KJV). What God speaks brings faith and faith is what makes us overcome.
