Gods best Choice

God chose the nation of Israel for a divine purpose. This is something that was in his plan from the foundation of the world and he has now revealed it to us through Jesus Christ.

What we see in Christ is that God has had the master plan of saving the whole world. God is interested in the whole world and not just in a single nation. When God chose the nation of Israel he meant to reach out to a lot of us called Gentiles. This is the reason why through the nation of Israel he has provided Jesus Christ as our Savior.

When Jesus performed miracles, each one of the miracles was an expression of God’s affection for the world. In John 3:16 the Bibles says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (‭KJV). God does not want anyone to perish. He want us to have eternal life. This is the reason why he has finally chosen you and I through Jesus Christ. You are his choice through Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God’s first choice and now all those who believe in him are his choice too. In 1 Peter 2:4 the Bible refers to Jesus and says, “…as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious” (‭KJV). Jesus is God’s precious choice and right now he is calling and choosing people who form what is called a chosen generation. Just like the chosen nation of Israel, this chosen nation through Christ is a holy nation. In John 15:16 Jesus says,”Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain” (‭KJV). When you are chosen by Jesus Christ, you become set apart in God forever.

Someone who is chosen through Jesus Christ is a Jew inwardly. Such a one is part of what God calls a chosen generation and a holy nation. In 1 Peter 2:9 the Bible says,”But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (KJV). As a believer you are chosen by God through Jesus Christ just like he chose Israel through Abraham. You are chosen and you are God’s best choice.
