God will always create more room for you when you need it. He did it for (Abram) Abraham and he can do it for anyone. God wants to bless you and all you really need is enough room for those blessings.
When you need room, God will use something to create it even when you might not even realize that he is doing it for you. How did he do it for Abraham? He did it at the time and in a way Abraham did not expect. For Abraham, it happened when he was still living with his nephew Lot. This was at the time when the land on which they lived was not enough to sustain both of them. This caused a conflict between Abraham’s and Lot’s herdsmen. Naturally, conflict is usually viewed as being bad, but for years it has been a vehicle for change. When Lot left Abram for the plain of the Jordan, something happened.
What happened? Well, in Genesis 13:14-15 the Bible says, “And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever” (KJV). God made room for Abraham. That land now belonged to him and his as far as his eyes could see.
Lot was now gone, but he still had a special place in Abraham’s heart. Nothing could come between them in their relationship not even earthly possessions. They knew for sure that their relationship was more important. That is why we all have to keep in mind that our relationships are important. This is true because sometime later after Lot was held captive in time of war, Abraham was more than willing to go and rescue him. In his mind, Abraham never went back to the time when they had a conflict just to have a reason for revenge against Lot. That never became a factor in Abraham’s decision making process. This shows us that the conflict they had was just a means for creating room for more blessings and not ruining their relationship.
Parting company should not always be done with hard feelings. There is always an important reason why people sometimes go their separate ways. One of the reasons is that God always wants to make room for them just like he did it for Abraham. The ideal thing in life is always to forget the negative past by forgiving those who hurt you and then moving on to new things in life. Press on, God has a lot in store for you therefore let nothing stop you. In Luke 12: 32 Jesus Christ says, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (KJV). God is in the giving business and all you need to do is to make sure you have enough room for his blessings. Press on!
