God’s Judgment

The Holy Spirit convicts people in regards to sin, righteousness and judgment. In John 16:11 the Bible points out that the Holy Spirit convicts men of judgement and it states,”Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged (‭KJV). Here the Bible reveals that the devil has already been judged and his place now is a place of torment.

The devil knows more about this torment so much that when he met the Lord Jesus, he had to cry out to him so that he would not be tormented. The truth is that he is already judged and he will never be redeemed. In Mark 5:7 the Bible says a legion of demons, “…cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not” (‭KJV). This legion of demons knew more about the seriousness of God’s judgment and punishment.

Right now, the devil is still guilty, afraid and is playing dirty against the souls of men. When he met Jesus he was afraid of being tormented, but he is busy tricking people into joining him on his way to the place of torment. When Jesus had said that he came to seek and to save that which was lost, the only thing the devil was hoping for was, not to be tormented. That is the spirit of fear. That is why he said to Jesus,”torment me not”. The Bible is clear and it states that God has not given us the spirit of fear. Fear has to do with torment. God has given us the spirit of love and that love is what triumphs over judgment.

Let us now look at something else that is happening right now. In Revelation 12:12 the Bible says, “…Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (‭KJV). Satan has already been judged and now he is getting closer to his time of torment each second that ticks and year that passes. His time is short.

The devil is right now fighting hard to take people with him by using every trick rooted in sin. In James 4:7 the Bible says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (‭KJV). He flees and anyone who flees is afraid of something. When we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, we engage in the real fight of faith. He has, but to flee.

Now, God is going to judge people just like he did judged the devil. In Hebrews 9:27 the Bible says, “…it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (‭KJV). All people on earth will die and then after that appear before God for judgment. In 2 Corinthians 5: 10 the Bible says, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (KJV). We are all appointed to die once before we can be judged by God.

Since we know this, we can be ready and the only way to be ready is by accepting Jesus as a personal Savior. Now is the right time.
