God’s Reward

God rewards those who diligently seek him. When you set to seek God with all your heart, God will reward you. However, as you seek God the most important and necessary ingredient when seeking him is faith. Have faith because it pleases God.

In Hebrews 11:6 the Bible says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (‭KJV). Faith always pleases God. If you are saved and are living by faith, God is pleased with you.

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, he was buried in the tomb and during those very difficulty times Mary went seeking for his body. She sought The Lord even when the situation was hopeless. She wanted to find Jesus dead or alive. Mary was diligent in her search for The Lord Jesus Christ. She is an example of how we should all seek The Lord.

We should seek The Lord deligently. That day when all hope was gone Mary sought for Jesus. We see what happened in the gospel of John chapter twenty from verse one to twenty three as being rewarding. In verse ten when the disciples who had walked close to Jesus for years went back to their homes, Mary kept seeking for The Lord’s body. She never gave up. That is what we call diligence.

In John 20:11 the Bible says, “But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre” (‭KJV). In verse fourteen she finally ended up seeing The Lord Jesus Christ who had just resurrected from the dead. In this case Mary was rewarded with the opportunity of meeting the resurrected Savior and was able to make the first proclamation of the good news about the resurrection to the rest of the disciples. She definitely had the opportunity to be used by God.

Mary had faith and was diligent enough to be rewarded. Determine in your heart to be diligent at seeking The Lord too. As you do it, remember to do it by faith. Faith opens the door to your rewards and diligence itself engages you in this rewarding process. Remember, God’s rewards are for you.
