Contentment – Part 1

Contentment is more about being satisfied. Paul the apostle learnt not to complain in his circumstances because he was content. This is what helped him to weather any troubling circumstance.

In Philippians 4:11-12 Paul says, “…for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need” (KJV). Paul was content therefore he remained well balance in life. This is the reason why he was confident enough to say that he could do all things through Christ.

In Philippians 4: 13 Paul says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (KJV).The Lord Jesus Christ strengthened Paul in times of recession or prosperity. This is what God wants in our lives. He wants us to be satisfied in whatever circumstance we face in life. Complaining is a sign of lack of faith. We need faith to do things.

Are you ready to do things?
