God works with people who are humble. This is the reason why a humble heart can help you to step into your destiny.
In 1 Peter 5:5 the Bible says, “…God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble” (KJV). We all need the grace of God. Without the grace of God, we can not even get to heaven.
Saul persecuted the Church, but he later found grace in the most unusual way. This is the reason why in Christ, any one can find grace by being humble. Saul was on his way to arrest people in Damascus, but ended up stepping into his destiny because he humbled himself.
How do we know Saul humbled himself? We know he humbled himself because he responded to the voice he heard with humility. In Acts 9:6 the Bible says, “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do” (KJV). Saul was willing to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and he found grace.
Humility helps us to submit to one anothers. Saul submitted himself to Jesus because he saw Jesus has authority and that is why he called him Lord, but he still had to meet another person who would tell him what to do. In order to do this, he had to humble himself. Saul had to forget about seeing himself as a “Pharisee of Pharisees” and became someone willing to listen to brother Ananias.
In the body of Christ we have one Lord, but he has placed special people in our lives to help us receive what God has in store for us.
