In life we all chase for a place called “There”. Why is it like that? Well, when sin entered the world, things became bad and since then we have always desired and hoped for things to get better. Today we still long for better things and a better place.
Now, this is the reason why we are all prone to chasing after the wind. We think we are going to be better of if we pursued that degree or career because it would lead to what we envision as a better future. After achieving our goals, we discover that things are still not as good as we hoped for. We find out our relationships still need a lot of help despite having vast achievements. Due to all this we get frustrated because we continue to struggle with the same problems we have had before and are forced to keep chasing after new promises hoping for what is better. The truth of the matter is that this is more like a mirage. When you get there, the water you saw on the horizon no longer exists. God has a solution for this problem.
In Christ, this place truly exists. It is a real place, designed by God with you in mind. In John 14: 2-3 Jesus says, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (KJV). The place God is preparing for those who believe in his son Jesus Christ is real.
On the day Jesus Christ was crucified, one of the two thieves hanging on a cross next to him asked to be remembered and that same day Jesus promised to be with the same man in a place called Paradise. In Luke 23: 42-43 the Bible says, “And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise” (KJV). The place Jesus is calling “Paradise” is a place meant for you and it has every thing you have ever hoped for. It is not a mirage. This place really exists and it is meant for all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you ready for that place?
